~My Chinchillas~
White Mosaic Violet Carrier - No Mate *2nd Place Color Class Show Winner, 2003 CAPA Show* This is Zander! What a personality this guy has! I got him from PNWC in Oct of 2002. He is such a sweetie, but refuses to allow any fingers in his cage. That is his territory and unless you have a treat, he will mistake your finger for one instead! He's actually not big on treats. Odd soul he is! hehe... He is totally a chewer as well. He shreds everything.... literally! Yes, he ruined a fleece tube and bed! He also enjoys the noise of banging things up and down in the cage! hehe... What can ya say though eh? Once he is in your arms ya just melt to pieces! I am so glad to have him as an addition to my "Monster Crew".
TOV Solid Violet- No Mate Zeke, or as I often call him, Zekey - this guy was born here and in the end I just couldn't let him leave. He had several different home lined up and each one fell through. When I lost MaKenzie, I knew it was fate that Zeke was supposed to stay here. So I soon put him in to be a buddy to the lonely Zander. For over a year they were happy together then one day something snapped! I went in the chin room to see WWIII. Zander and Zeke got into a fight and I had to separate them - Ive been too afraid to put them back together. So for now, they share a cage that is split in half! Regardless of his 'bad attitude' with Zander, I love him to bits. He is the only chin I have who will sit on your shoulder. He took that trait from his father, Bryson. Even though he lives solo, I love having him in my crew.
Dark Violet - Mate to Galaxy Skylar came to me from Eyes of Texas Chinchillas in 2003. I am so glad to have her here. She is my crazy hyper chin. If there are loud noises coming from the chin room, its because of her. She bounces off walls and thumps across the floor boards. She is so beautiful and is so big! I love having her in my herd!
TOV White Violet EBC- Mate to Skylar Galaxy was born here at Celestial Chinchillas. Galaxy is my nosey button. You cannot walk into the room and not expect him to be standing right there at the door waiting for you. He has so much personality and reminds me exactly of his mother. He has the most adorable spot and it gives him character. I am so happy that he was born and that I got to keep him!
Hetero Ebony Violet Carrier - Mate to Cosmo Moonshadow is a beautiful girl and has come along way since when I first bought her. She was very shy and calm. Now she is coming out of her shell and can play with the best of them. She still likes to be held, but now you know it is because she likes it and not just because she is afraid. I am very proud to have such a beauty in my crew!
White Violet- Mate to Moonshadow My lovely Cosmo came to me from Rhonda in Feb 2007. He is a very needy chin! He cries a lot just to get attention. He does not like to be separated from Moonshadow when I pull her for a few days after she litters... he stands at his cage door banging into it and crying. He has a lot of personality thats for sure. It is a pleasure to have him in my breeding crew!
First I would like to say how Kailani got her name. Since I am going with the celestial thing I was looking for something to do with the sky. Well I stumbled on a list of Hawaiian names and saw that Kailani means "sea & sky". I thought it was perfect since she has 'blue violet' patches on white. This beauty came to me from Country Heart Chinchillas, here in Texas! Kailani is such a happy go lucky chin! She is super hyper and always eating! I couldn't be more happier with how she has turned out and what a great mother she is!
Only two days after I lost Nova, this beautiful boy was born at Chins to Cherish! Toni was kind enough to let me have fist dibs on him and I am so happy to have him. He has days where he is mellow, and then days where he is very hyper!! He was originally going to be paired with Moonshadow, but after some thought, he found his new home with Kailani. He is a brave soul, as Kai often kicks his butt after she litters, but once she is in a better mood, he always takes her back and forgets about the fur she ranked out of him only a few months before! He is a great guy and I am happy to have him.
