Oh my sweet Nova. My little Fuzzhead. You were my pride and joy and I was so proud of you. You got the best traits from both your mom and dad. You were as sweet as can be and had not a care in the world.

I knew something was not quite right when you seemed so much more calm that usual. You were still walking around and being responsive, but just too calm. I checked you over and could not think of anything. So I called the ER and they turned me down. Never had this happened to me before. I tried and tried for an hour to find someone to look at you. Meanwhile your health was slowly diminishing... Finally someone in Round Rock, an hour away, agreed to see you. So we packed up and were on our. You sat in my lap and I tried to put you at ease. 15 minutes before we got there, at 12:05am, you took your last breath and fell asleep in my arms. Oh how it hurt me. I tried so hard to get you there, but you had other plans.

I took you in for a necro that morning. It seems that somehow you developed a bladder stone. You did not give me any warning. You held off until it was too late. I am so sorry!

Because of your suffering, no other exotic animal will be turned away from our ER. The board members have set forth new rules and now will call in a vet to look at the precious animals like you, who need help when no one else is around. I'm just sorry that it was at your expense.

You will forever be missed and thought of often. We hand fed you when your mommy couldn't do it. We loved you... and always will. Rest in peace my sweet Nova.
